Pacific City Bridge Party
The 3rd annual Pacific City Bridge party, sponsored by the Tillamook Bridge Club and the Anchorage Motel will be at the Kiawanda Community Center in Pacific City on September 29th and 30th 2007. Last year was so much fun that the format will be almost identical . This year we hope to fill at least 16 tables, maybe 20.
The Bridge Party is a great social event organized around 3 sessions of bridge. This year the event occurs the weekend prior to the Seaside regional giving you all a good start to the week.
Saturday Sept 29. The first stratified pairs session will begin at 11am. Then at approximately 2.30 we shall fire up the grills and cook lunch. About 4pm we'll play the second session. The cost for the two games plus food and drink is $19. After the second session, Martin and Barbara Hemens will host a party at their house next to the Anchorage Motel.
Sunday Oct 22. We shall have brunch at the Center at 10.30am. At 11am we shall begin the swiss teams and play until about 4pm. All leftover food and drink will need to be consumed at this time. The cost for the brunch and game is $10.
All players are encouraged to bring a contribution of food. We are looking for side dishes at the Saturday lunch and any additions to the Sunday brunch.To avoid excessive duplication we suggest those of you coming from the north bring desserts, from the south bring salads and side dishes, and from inland bring snacks and fingerfoods. Also a bottle or two for the Saturday evening party would help.
We would like to hear in advance who's coming although hopefully we can accommodate everyone at the last minute. We will also attempt to arrange partnerships and teams as needed.
