"A Day In The Life" A Portland Pictures Aging and Straight
Make-ups Created for the Film.
"ZigZag" A Thrive / 22 A Hairy Situation! The film, "ZigZag," originally titled "Mud Therapy," was a great experience in many ways. The actors were a delight to work with. And most of the crew, although new to the industry, demonstrated great talent. Those that were 'veterans' did a terrific job. E. Larry Day supervised the Key Make-up and Key Hairstylist. Their work was top-notch. The production was plagued with several 'minor' problems, however. "A love scene between two of the stars required the use of a body double. The body double had been chosen from a local strip club. The day of the love scene, the producer informed me that the double (who was supposed to look about 16 or 17 years old) was..., shaven..., down 'there.' I was asked to make a small 'toupee' to add back the hair.
When the double arrive, she was brought to the make-up trailer for the application of 'painted' pubic hairs! The hairs were painted one-at-a-time with a 000 brush and tattoo inks. The result was durable and quite believable..., although rather unique!" - E. Larry (Photos from the film "ZigZag" are watermarked/copyrighted Thrive / 22) Back to Chimera Studios
