Century Link and Embarq customers using an oregoncoast.com email address must use "authentication" and here is an easy way to configure the account so the email can be sent when connected to Embarq:

SET UP EMBARQ email in Outlook Express, click HERE You must have a Century Tel email address for this to work, according to their website.

Highlight your
oregoncoast.com account

click on:

Properties button

 

Click on Servers TAB

click in the box "My server requires authentication"

click on Settings

Click on "Log on using"

enter your entire Embarq login, not just the first part before the @

enter the password, select SAVE PASSWORD

Click OK!
