Connection Wizard Windows 98 ......................................Windows XP Setup
  1. Click on Start.
  2. Point to Settings, then over to Control Panel.
  3. Click on Internet Options, then the Connection tab.
  4. Click on Setup. This will start the Internet Connection Wizard.
  5. Select "I have an existing Internet account through my phone line or local area network (LAN). Click on Next.
  6. Select "Select this option if you are accessing the internet using an Internet service provider or a local area network (LAN)." Click on Next.
  7. Select "Connect using my phone line." Click on Next.
  8. Select "Create a new dial-up connection." Click on Next.
  9. In the Telephone Number field, enter 815-9283 if dialing from the Tillamook area. Otherwise enter 398-2840 if dialing from South Tillamook County.(check for other numbers on our Roaming Access page) Uncheck "Dial using the area code and country code" unless you will be connecting to the Portland number. Click on Next. (Roaming page: http://www.oregoncoast.com/support/roaming.htm )
  10. In the User Name field, enter the User ID you selected when establishing your account. In the Password field, enter the password you selected for your account. Note: When the password is entered, it will display in asterisks (*) for security reasons. Click on Next.
  11. Select "No" on the Advanced Settings screen. Click on Next.
  12. Enter "The Wave!" in the Connection Name field. Click on Next.
  13. Select "Yes" on the Set Up Your Internet Mail Account screen. Click on Next.
  14. Select "Create a new Internet mail account." Click on Next.
  15. Enter your name in the Display Name field. Click on Next.
  16. Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail address field (johnsmith@oregoncoast.com)
  17. Outgoing mail server's name: out.oregoncoast.com (POP3 ) server The Incoming mail server's name is: in.oregoncoast.com Click on Next.
  18. Enter your User ID in the POP account name field. Enter your password in the Password field. Click on Next.
  19. Enter a friendly name in the Internet mail account name field, anything you wish, or leave it at the default of in.oregoncoast.com This is only a friendly name, not a configuration name. Click on Next.
  20. Click on Finish! You're done!
