Welcome to the Nestucca-Neskowin Watersheds Council

(serving Sand Lake Watershed too!)

News! News! News!

Next Council Meeting will be in September 2008

 Date to be determined

6:00 PM   Nestucca High School - ROOM 124

Council meetings are in Summer hiatus so we can focus on a busy field season:

We are completing the new Nestucca Valley Native Plant Nursery and plan to move plants there in July.

We are restoring Wildcat Creek near Hemlock by placing logs in the creek and replacing a culvert.

We are maintaining the 26 acres of streamside planted this last winter.  Plus prior year plantings as money allows.

And we are preparing a newsletter that should be in local mailboxes soon.

BLM Botanist Kurt Heckeroth trenching irrigation line at Nestucca Elementary School.  Assisting him is Steve Pearl.

In March we cleaned up Sand Lake Estuary.*

Check out work we completed last September:

Bear Creek large woody debris project.
